The main focus of Clays for Cara is to support the Cara Ann Hobbs Foundation. However, it is also important to us to support the fundraising efforts of various other causes.
Head for the Cure Foundation
The Head for the Cure Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness and funding in the fight against brain cancer. Clays for Cara participated in the 2012 event, but we were unable to be at the 2013. The event was on Saturday, May 11, which is the same date as the One Less race that Clays for Cara is participating in. We encourage anyone in the Dallas area that can to support the Head for the Cure North Texas event. We love what they’re doing and look forward to a continued relationship. Learn more about Head for the Cure Foundation and the North Texas 5K. Head for the Cure is committed to providing ongoing financial support to the Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative. In 2004, funds raised by Head for the Cure enabled the seed money to launch the Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
We provided our support for Stevie Patrick as she battled against brain cancer. She was honored several years at the Head for the Cure North Texas event. Join up with Team Stevie to support her and her family during this fight.
Note: We also would like to extend our condolences to the family of Stevie Patrick, who passed away on September 26, 2013 after a long battle with brain cancer. She was the inspiration for the Head for the Cure North Texas event. Read more about her story on the Pray for Stevie blog. Please join with us as we lift up her family in prayer during this difficult time.
